Booking Terms and Conditions
- We will hold the booking for one week while we wait for a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total rental costs, plus a damage or breakage deposit of 100 UK pounds sterling, to be deposited into our pounds sterling account (in the UK) or our Euro account (in Spain). The full balance of 80% of the total rental cost is due no later than 6 weeks before your arrival in Mojacar. If the full and final balance is not received by the specified deadline, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and to keep your 20% deposit and the 100 UK pounds sterling damage or breakage deposit. If you have to cancel after you have paid the full balance for your rental period (plus damages deposit), then it is unlikely that we will have sufficient time to rent it out again so the balance paid for the rental will be forfeited, but the damages deposit will be refunded to you. We strongly advise you to take out holiday travel insurance as soon as your booking is confirmed – this should cover you if you have to cancel your holiday for any reason beyond your own control.
- The full name, age and contact point of all guests staying at our apartment must be provided at the time of booking the holiday rental.
- You should take out your own holiday travel insurance policy. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to you or your possessions during your holiday stay in our apartment.
- Upon receipt of your full payment in my UK bank account, we will then provide you with all the details you will need to have about the apartment. This will include but not be limited to: how to collect and drop off the keys to the apartment for your rental stay; an emergency contact in case anything goes wrong in the apartment while you are there; and details about how to operate all the appliances within the apartment.
- Please note that this is a non-smoking apartment. Therefore, please use the outside patio space in the front or the rear of the apartment for smoking. Thank you!
- The towels provided for you during your stay are bath towels and must be kept within the apartment. Please do not take them to the swimming pool or to the beach. Please bring your own beach or pool towels. Thank you.
- The air-conditioning split unit which also provides heat in the winter months should be used only with all doors and windows closed. Please take care of the "remote control" for the A/C and/or Heating Unit and do not drop or lose it, because that is the only way to operate the unit.
- Satellite TV and DVD player – please also take care of the "remote controls" for these units because these are the best method to operate this equipment.
- Detailed instruction booklets for operating the A/C and/or Heating Unit and the satellite TV and DVD player are in the cupboard drawer on which the TV sits. Please do not remove these instructions from their place.
- The throws and arm covers on the new sofa and chair are there in order to help keep the furniture clean for everyone. Please leave them in place at all times. If you accidentally spill something on the throw or the arm covers, please clean them in the washing machine yourself. If there is no time to do so before you leave, please have the courtesy to mention the stains to the Property Manager on your departure so that he can arrange to have them cleaned properly.
- At the end of your stay, the Property Manager will meet you to collect the keys and inspect the property to ensure that everything is in place. Please report any difficulties that you have had or any accidents that you have had so that we can repair things before the next renters come in. Thank you!
